Good morning.In Wirt County, State Police are investigating a deadly weekend rollover crash. Investigators say 59-year-old Steve Boggs of Grantsville died Sunday afternoon after his vehicle went off Little Kanawha Parkway near Elizabeth and struck a pole. Boggs had to be cut from the wreckage and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.Across the river in Waterford, a wave of support is growing for a high school teacher accused of assault. During a packed school board meeting Monday night, students and parents defended Matt Warden, describing him as a compassionate mentor who genuinely cares for his students. Warden was arraigned Monday on charges of punching a student, but supporters claim the incident was a misunderstanding of a long-standing "joke" involving the teacher. The school board is awaiting the results of a police investigation before taking further action.And a new era for South Parkersburg Rowing is officially underway. Construction began this week on a new 50-foot boathouse to replace the team's aging shelter.
